Bird of Prey Association Day(Course 1, 10.30-16.30)
This is a one day course to give students a chance to extend
their knowledge of these majestic Hawks and Falcons. The day
is spent learning the A-Z of Falconry and Hawking. Aswell as
Handling and Tuning into the art of Falconry. Includes 1 hour
lunch break.
Choose a Bird(Course 2, 10.30-16.30)
Choose your own Bird of Prey; Long Wing or Short Wing.
1 Day Hawks - Complete Picture
2 Falcons - Complete Picture
Learn in full the detailed requirements of each particular species of raptor.
Full Course (Course 3 - 5 Day Course)
This course is designed for the Falconer or Austringer to be.
All areas covered from start to finish. Correct advice will
be given to those who aspire to be Falconers. The following
areas will be covered;
Housing
Dogs
Flying
Equipment Management
Knowledge of Telemetry and Transmitting devices.
Advice on licensing.
Slipping at Quarry
Fully in-depthh course.
Hunting Day(Course 4 - 1 Day Course)
Very Exciting. Watch Birds of Prey hunting in their natural habitat. The game will vary according to the time of year, as follows;
All Year: Rabbit, Crow
November 1st - January 31st: Pheasant, Woodcock, Duck, Snipe
